STUCK IN A BLIZZARD...

Sorel's
Blizzard PM shot
waking up to a stuck front door
this is about 20 inches of snow

no school.

NU doesn't cancel school.  They haven't since 1979.  But Wednesday was cancelled.  My 8am prof on Thursday cancelled because he knew the commuters wouldn't make it.  I'm kinda expecting to go to one class tomorrow... but my midterm was postponed.

The doggies have pooped in the snow outside my window- so maybe I'll have to go out there sometime today and see it all for myself.  Just not out my front door.

The wind gusts of snow wind look awful.
No good TV is on, the busses are running, I live on a major street so-I do see signs of life.

Kinda wish I could go down to the lake.
I guess I'll take one of my midterms now.

here's a snow song

Put on a Happy Face

Why not celebrate George Castanza's Bye Bye Birdie performance?

This is my "Tulipa Pink" that I bought today to live in my living room.
As this sucker blooms- and hopefully doesn't die, I will use it to remind myself to be happier so that I stop being drama for Ichiban and Dave... (and Mom, and Dad and Buxta... and everyone else who finds me seven clicks too many)  :)

it was also on sale at Dominicks for 2.99 and the cashier told me to not discriminate against my tulip who  wanted a ride with the rest of my vegetables in the grocery bag.  she was funny.

STOP the smoked salmon?

so i'm at the grocery store and this middle aged man is in front of me at the cashier.
he's got his stuff loaded on the conveyer belt or whatever, but has this package of smoked salmon in his grocery cart- like where you would put the child... and since smoked salmon is thin, it was just there.

i was eye-ing it- wondering if he would notice... but he went through checkout with it- and presumably would have left the store with the smoked salmon sitting there like a small child.

was i wrong for not being like- excuse me sir, shalom and good evening.  your locks are hanging out in the cart and did you want to pay for them?  mazel?

but- i was minding my own business.... and waiting to see what happened.

1. i wonder if he feels like a bad person when he finds it?
2. i wonder if this is white collar crime- ie: the rich Chicagoland suburb crime?
3. maybe he'll not see it out in the parking lot and it will stay in a cart?

i have no idea.
but I JUDGE YOU...!

... hair so healthy it shines!

so for whatever reason that i read my "mom blogs" about saving money with coupons and such... i came across a P&G (proctor and gamble) offer for free pantene shampoo, and i think i just like getting mail.

so, i got a free pantene shampoo and conditioner for fine hair in the mail.
i've been a faithful shampoo/conditioner for fine hair psycho people for probably 5 years- going with really expensive salon options because somehow i think they'll be better for my hair.

but trying this "new formula" from pantene... has made me think i want to hurry up and finish the gigantic 33.8 oz bottle i've been using for probably close to a year- and go back to pantene.

i feel like my hair has more volume before putting products in...
so, i encourage you to sign up for your free P&G offers because they give lots of great coupons on great offers.
